Inspired by the traditions of Halloween and local historical folklore, this promenade performance invited its audiences to travel through different stages of story-telling, as if walking nervously around a museum full of scare attractions.
The students were taken to the London Dungeon some weeks ago and it was there that they were to be inspired by all things dark and macabre, cold, spine-chilling and blood-spilling, eerie and scary. From there, the students toiled day and night, working in teams to write their weird tales and produce their props and masks, devise their acts and choreograph their moves. On the night, it was a huge success with the staff and students pulling in their largest audience yet.
Those that made it out were thrilled with what they witnessed and ran away to tell all what they saw. All in all, a brilliant joint endeavour that was fun and exciting, bold and fearless - this project challenged the students to their very core. Well done to them all!
