This introductory course is ideal for you if you are interested in a career in the motor vehicle maintenance and repair industry. It allows you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and successful career progression.

You will develop a clear understanding of the maintenance procedures required to maintain the systems and will work on a range of vehicles in our motor vehicle workshops to hone your skills.

    You will study:

    • Skills in health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
    • Skills to support working relationships in the automotive work environment

    • Introduction to vehicle technology and workshop methods and processes
    • Skills in inspection, repair and replacement of standard light vehicle tyres

    • Carry out basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) (English and maths desirable) or a Level 1 qualification.
