Eunice Oyedeji, (21) from New Cross joined the College’s SEND department three years ago. Having made excellent progress, she moved from entry level learning to the Supported Internship Level 1 Award.

As part of her studies, Eunice sourced her own work placement via hospitality agency Off to Work, in September 2018. Thanks to her continuous hard work, the agency offered her the opportunity to join its team on the four-week trip to Khobar City in Saudi Arabia.

Tara Saunders, Head of SEND at London South East Colleges’ Greenwich and Bexley says: “We are so delighted for Eunice. She is a fantastic student who fully commits herself to her studies and to her work experience – which is why she has been chosen for this brilliant opportunity. As a department we are extremely proud of her achievements and hope she has a wonderful time.

“Our supported internship programme focuses on helping students who have a range of learning needs to gain employment. To do this, we support the students and the employers to ensure they both benefit - which results in real success all round. Eunice is the perfect example of this and an inspiration to many other students.”

Jessica Hopkins, Head of Casual Recruitment at Off to Work, says: “We are delighted to reward Eunice with the chance to experience international work. She is a truly dedicated member of the team and this is a fantastic opportunity for her to have an amazing time working abroad. We wish her all the best now and in her future career.”
